This training session is available to municipal officials of the Embedded Generation Support Programme.
The Embedded Generation Support Programme is a capacity building programme for municipal utilities to support with establishing or enhancing their application and approval processes for embedded generation (EG) customers, in order to safely integrate embedded generation systems onto their networks. It further aims to ensure the development of sustainable business models for municipal utilities and support aspects of the energy transition. The support available to municipalities is provided through training, customised ad-hoc technical assistance through a technical helpdesk of experts, access to resources and tools, and a peer exchange platform where all partner municipalities can ask questions, share experiences and lessons learnt.

How to apply for support
An annual open call for applications into the programme is issued through SALGA around January. However, if you have missed the call for applications and are interested in a training topic or require technical assistance on embedded generation, kindly note that the project working group does accept applications, depending on the budget and resources available. Please reach out to Sayuri Chetty (sayuri.chetty[at]giz.de) to enquire or apply to join the EG Support Programme.
