One of the key aspects in developing a biogas market in South Africa and understanding the full potential of the technology is unpacking the specific skill-sets required and job potential that the biogas industry holds. Therefore, the objective of this study was to explore in detail the employment potential from biogas along the main phases of a typical biogas project, as well as 4 categories of project sizes. The study also looked at the various skills and levels thereof needed for each project phase.
