Senior Technical Advisor for Power Sector Reform and Regulation

Ansuya is a highly qualified professional with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, and she currently serves as a Technical Advisor in SAGEN’s team. In her role, which she has held since 2022, Ansuya plays a vital role in guiding South Africa’s power sector reform, facilitating a just energy transition, and strengthening capacity-building initiatives. Her extensive knowledge and experience make her a valuable asset in these critical areas. Prior to her current role, Ansuya worked as a research engineer, where she actively contributed to the education of engineering students. In addition, she served on the board of a non-profit encouraging critical thinking and debate amongst young people for several years. Her academic background and practical experience highlight her dedication to advancing the energy sector and building a sustainable future.
