Advisor for Energy Policy and Regulation

Clifford obtained a BA in Environmental Management and Geography and is currently a Technical Advisor in the energy policy and regulation team of SAGEN. In this role, he is supporting partner institutions to drive the power sector reform and establish the necessary policy and regulatory framework. His responsibilities encompass project conceptualization, management, and coordination.

Before this, Clifford served as an Advisor for energy efficiency for nearly five years. He was seconded to the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy to lead the technical support for energy efficiency projects and programnes. With his extensive experience in energy policy, regulation, and efficiency, Clifford is making significant contributions to sustainable energy development in South Africa.
