Head of SAGEN Programme

Nicole leads the fourth phase of the SAGEN programme, bringing over fifteen years of expertise in energy and international cooperation. She holds a German Diplom (equivalent to a Master’s degree) in Economics and an MSc in European Economic Studies. Nicole’s extensive international experience includes roles as an Energy Expert and Project Leader in Germany, Mexico, Madagascar, and Tunisia, where she has collaborated with diverse stakeholders to advance the energy transition.

Nicole combines deep technical knowledge with strong managerial skills and a commitment to promoting sustainable energy systems. Her aspiration for SAGEN is that the programme continues to serve as a valuable resource for its partners in driving an inclusive energy transition in South Africa.
