Technical Advisor for Electricity Distribution Industry Reform
Mpho is a Technical Advisor within the SAGEN programme, responsible for supporting the implementation of activities on municipal electricity supply and reform with a focus on energy management systems and gender mainstreaming.
Mpho is a PhD-qualified chemist with extensive experience in refinery-related technology development, process optimization, strategic technology assessment, and industrial decarbonization. She also holds an MSc in Polymer Chemistry, Master of Management in Energy Leadership (MMEL), Certificates: PMBOK; Environmental Management; Public Management and Governance.
Her professional experience combines 16 years of research and innovation within Sasol Technology where she successfully coordinated multi-disciplinary projects supporting Chemicals & Refining Operations, and a 2-year project management of the Energy Efficient Street Lighting Retrofit Project within GIZ SAGEN. Her combined expertise lies in research and development, project management, process and technology development, and innovative idea generation.
